Exploring Object Size and Form

Big, small, tall, flat โ€” size and form matter in every design!

๐Ÿ†š
Big vs Small
Designers choose sizes carefully โ€” too big or too small won't work!
๐Ÿ“
Tall vs Flat
A tall cup holds more water. A flat plate holds food better!
๐ŸŽ’
Fits Many Books
A big backpack is designed to hold lots of things โ€” size matters!
๐Ÿ“ฑ
Fits in Pocket
A phone is small so you can carry it everywhere easily!
โœ‹ Activity: Size Sorting

Collect 5 objects from the classroom. Sort them from smallest to largest. Then for each one, say: Is it tall or flat? Big or small? Would it fit in your pocket?

๐Ÿง  Key Vocabulary: "Form"

Form means the combined shape AND size of an object. A cup and a plate can both be round (same shape), but their form is very different because one is tall and one is flat. Form determines what the object is good for.
